Here at Camrose Public Library we are committed to ensuring that every child is ready to read by the time they reach school age. Every month, we feature a tip to help you and your child develop early literacy skills. We are advocates for literacy and early literacy, and offer a variety of programs for our young library users.
Early literacy is important for children, what they know about reading and writing before they begin to do so. The Library offers free memberships for children ages of 0-17 if they reside in the City of Camrose or the County of Camrose (this does not apply for residents of Ferintosh and New Norway). Visit us often, and bring home books to read together!

Programs for Preschoolers

Concept Corner (3-5 Years)
Children and their parents or caregivers can explore basic early learning concepts like the alphabet, colors and numbers through stories, songs and art.
